How Cogelis created a new cloud business model with Plenit

Based in Nancy, France, Cogelis helps organizations accelerate their digital transformation through a combination of custom software development, ERP integration, and business technology consulting. As a Microsoft partner and an integrator of solutions such as EBP and Dynamics 365, the company has spent years helping customers modernize the way they operate.

As demand for subscription-based and cloud-hosted solutions continued to grow, Cogelis recognized an opportunity to evolve its service offering. The company wanted more than a traditional hosting provider—it needed a platform that would allow it to create, manage, and scale a complete cloud service under its own brand. That search ultimately led to Plenit.

From software integrator to cloud service provider

Before partnering with Plenit, Cogelis was already delivering hosted environments using another major cloud provider. While the technology worked, the company felt constrained by a model that lacked flexibility, visibility, and the tools needed to create a differentiated customer experience.

The introduction to Plenit changed that perspective entirely.

Working together, the two companies launched Cogelis Online, a white-label cloud platform built on top of Plenit’s infrastructure. This new service enabled Cogelis to offer cloud-hosted business applications—particularly EBP solutions—through a platform that carried its own identity and delivered a level of service it had previously struggled to achieve.

The white-label capabilities, combined with a clearer commercial model and a strong balance between pricing, service quality, and operational simplicity, allowed Cogelis to introduce an entirely new business offering while strengthening its relationship with customers.

Building solutions together, not just consuming infrastructure

For Thierry Schmitt, Associate Managing Director and Business Development Manager at Cogelis, one of the most valuable aspects of the partnership has been the collaboration between both teams.

This collaborative approach proved especially important as Cogelis worked toward a highly ambitious goal: fully automating the provisioning of its software solutions. Through close cooperation between the technical teams, the company was able to create a deployment model where partners can select a solution and have it operational within minutes.

Rather than navigating lengthy communication chains or generic support processes, Cogelis found itself working directly with people who understood its requirements, listened carefully, and helped shape the platform around real business needs.

Technology backed by responsive people

While automation and infrastructure are critical, Thierry repeatedly highlights the importance of the human relationship behind the technology.

Whether working with technical support, account managers, or company leadership, Cogelis consistently found a level of accessibility and responsiveness that was missing from previous experiences with larger international providers. Questions were answered quickly, feedback was taken seriously, and support requests often received immediate attention.

This combination of technology and proximity has allowed Cogelis to scale its cloud business with confidence while maintaining the level of service its customers expect. Instead of feeling like a small customer within a massive ecosystem, the company benefits from a partnership where both sides are invested in achieving the same goals.
